Bookboost’s Unified Inbox allows hotels to streamline communication with guests across various messaging channels. Among these, SMS and WhatsApp are powerful tools to reach guests directly before, during, and after their stay. Unlike other channels within Bookboost, SMS and WhatsApp are usage-based, meaning they incur costs depending on how much they’re used.

 

Main Concept: Messaging Costs for SMS and WhatsApp

In Bookboost, messaging costs apply only to SMS and WhatsApp channels. These costs are calculated based on the volume of messages sent and are property-specific—each hotel property is charged individually according to its own usage levels.

 

Some key points:

  • Journeys and broadcasts (operational and marketing campaigns) significantly affect the total cost.
  • For organizations with similar messaging campaigns across properties: Expect higher charges for properties with more rooms, assuming similar occupancy rates.
  • Even with similar campaign setups, larger properties typically send more messages due to the higher number of guests.
