How It Works

1. Your PMS sends reservation data to Oaky

When a new reservation is created in your PMS, Oaky automatically receives the booking details.

2. Bookboost generates a personalized Oaky link

Bookboost uses the reservation data to look up the guest in Oaky and generates a unique upsell link for that specific stay.

3. You add the link to your campaigns

Using the Campaign Builder in Bookboost, you insert the Oaky token {{oaky.guest_login_url}} into your pre-arrival email. When the campaign is sent, each guest receives their own personalized link.

4. Guests browse and book upgrades

When the guest clicks the link, they land on a branded Oaky page showing available upgrades and services for their dates. They can book with a single click.

5. Revenue is tracked

Oaky sends conversion data back to Bookboost, so you can see upsell revenue and conversion rates in your campaign reports.

 

The Guest Experience

📧 Pre-Arrival Email

Your guest receives a Bookboost campaign (e.g. a pre-arrival message) that includes a personalized Oaky link. For best results, Oaky recommends sending two emails: one at 21 days before arrival (around 7 PM) and another at 3 days before arrival (around 10 AM).

How to Get Started (step-by-step)

Setting up the Oaky + Bookboost integration is straightforward. Here’s what to expect:

Step 1 — Contact Oaky

Reach out to your Oaky Customer Success Manager (or the Oaky sales team if you’re not yet an Oaky customer). You’ll need to accept Oaky’s commercial terms and a data processing agreement with Bookboost.

Step 2 — Oaky onboards your property

Oaky will create your hotel in their system and connect your property to the Bookboost integration on their side.

Step 3 — Share the hotel code with Bookboost

Oaky (or you, if Oaky provides it to you directly) will send the hotel_code for your property to Bookboost. You can share it with your Bookboost contact person or send it to support@bookboost.io.

Step 4 — Bookboost completes the setup

Our team will configure the integration in your Bookboost account. This typically takes 3-4 business days after receiving your hotel code.

Step 5 — Test the integration

Once setup is complete, you can test by adding the token {{oaky.guest_login_url}} to a campaign and sending a test to a real reservation. Click the generated link to confirm it loads the Oaky guest page.

💡 Important: The integration only works for reservations created after the setup is completed. Existing reservations will not have an Oaky link.

 

Using the Oaky Token in Campaigns

Once the integration is active, you can use the following token in any Bookboost campaign:

This token generates a unique, personalized Oaky link for each guest. You can add it as a button or hyperlink in your pre-arrival emails.

Example use case: Create a pre-arrival campaign that says "Upgrade your stay" with a button linking to {{oaky.guest_login_url}}. Each guest will see offers tailored to their specific reservation.

Where to insert it: In the Bookboost Campaign Builder, add the token as the URL for a button or link element.

 

⚠️ Troubleshooting

The Oaky link shows a 404 error

This usually means the reservation doesn’t exist in Oaky yet. The most common reasons are that the reservation was created before the integration was set up, or there was a timing delay between the booking and when Oaky processes it. Only reservations created after the integration is active will work.

What to do: Wait a few hours and try again. If the issue persists, contact Bookboost support.

The token is not rendering in the campaign preview

This typically means the integration hasn’t been configured for your specific property yet.

What to do: Reach out to support@bookboost.io and confirm that the Oaky integration is set up for your Bookboost account.

I don’t see Oaky revenue in my campaign reports

Revenue tracking requires an additional webhook configuration. If your reports show zero Oaky revenue despite confirmed bookings on Oaky’s side, the webhook may need to be configured.

What to do: Contact support@bookboost.io and we’ll verify the webhook is properly set up for your property.

Do I need to be an existing Oaky customer?

Yes. You need an active Oaky account for your property. If you’re not yet using Oaky, you can contact them at support@oaky.com or visit oaky.com to learn more.

Does this work with all PMS systems?

The integration works with any PMS that Oaky supports. We’ve fully tested it with Opera Cloud and Mews. Other PMS systems are supported but may require a brief validation step during setup.

Can I use the Oaky link in any type of campaign?

Yes. You can add the {{oaky.guest_login_url}} token to any Bookboost campaign — email, WhatsApp, or SMS. The most common use case is pre-arrival emails.

Will existing reservations get an Oaky link?

No. Only reservations created after the integration is set up will have a working Oaky link. This is because Oaky needs to receive the reservation data from your PMS first.

How long does setup take?

Once Oaky has onboarded your property and you’ve shared the hotel code with Bookboost, our team typically completes the setup within 3-4 business days.
