🔃 Save Time with Content Blocks
Content Blocks allow hoteliers to reuse styled and structured snippets of content across campaigns without recreating them each time
Introduction
Content blocks in Bookboost CRM allow hoteliers to reuse styled and structured snippets of content across campaigns without recreating them each time. Whether you're sending access instructions, promotional content, door codes, room descriptions, or cancellation policies, content blocks simplify design consistency and content management.
This feature is especially useful when the same content appears in multiple campaigns. Instead of editing every campaign individually, you only need to update the content block once, and all campaigns using it will automatically reflect the changes — it's a major time-saving tool for your team.
🧠 Understanding Content Blocks
A content block is a reusable snippet of content that you can insert into multiple campaigns using a special token. It can contain text, images, buttons, or even custom HTML. This makes it ideal for maintaining consistent content across different guest journeys and marketing communications.
☝️ Note: In the campaign editor, a content block will appear as a token (e.g., {{content_block('your-block-name')}}
). To see how the content actually looks, you must use the Preview option in the campaign.
⚠️ Important: Content blocks only work for Email campaigns, not for SMS or WhatsApp messages.
💡 Common Use Cases
- Insert reusable door code instructions.
- Share parking descriptions in multiple languages.
- Reuse hotel policy summaries like cancellation rules or check-in times.
- Add standardized promotional banners, footers, or headers.
- Use shared room descriptions across upselling or confirmation campaigns.
⚙️ Configuration and Setup
Follow these steps to set up your content blocks properly:
1. Create a Content Block
- Navigate to Campaigns from the main menu and click on Content Blocks

- In the top right corner, click ➕ to create a new content block.
- Add a title for internal use (this will not be visible to guests).
- Add your desired content block type:
- 📝 Text
- 🖼️ Image
- 🔘 Button
- 🧩 HTML
- Save the content block.

2. Insert a Content Block in a Campaign
- Open the campaign where you want to insert the block.
- Go to the editor and select Content Blocks.

- Copy the right content block.

- Use the token to embed the block:
- For example:
{{content_block('luxury-double-room-description')}}
- Click on Preview to see the full content and design layout.
🚀 Advanced Setup (Optional)
A. Multi-language Support
- Create separate blocks for each language (e.g.,
luxury-double-room-description-german
,luxury-double-room-description-english
).
- Use guest language segments or duplicated campaigns to show the correct version.
B. Custom Styling
- You can control the block’s appearance:
- Set body width (e.g., 600px for consistency across campaigns).
- Adjust alignment (left alignment recommended for readability).
- Apply background colors (match your brand or highlight important info).
⚠️ Known Issues or Limitations
- Preview Required: Tokens won’t render inside the editor. Use Preview to see the full design.
- Email-Only Feature: Content blocks are not supported in SMS or WhatsApp campaigns.
- Design Inconsistencies: Ensure matching body width, background color, and alignment across all content blocks for a uniform look.

Content blocks make campaign creation faster and more reliable by allowing you to manage reusable content from one central place. Whether you're sending access instructions or hotel policies, content blocks help keep your branding consistent and your team efficient.
