When to Send a Campaign via the Inbox?

Sometimes, guests contact you directly through the Inbox, and you want to respond with a pre-approved campaign message, maybe to share a promotion, send check-in information, or follow up after a previous interaction.

With Bookboost, you can send a WhatsApp Campaign directly from the Inbox using existing Journeys.


✉️ How to Send a Campaign from the Inbox

Here’s how to send a WhatsApp campaign directly to a guest:

1️⃣ Open the Inbox in Bookboost.

2️⃣ Click on the conversation with the guest you want to message.

3️⃣ At the top of the chat, click on the guest’s name to open their profile on the righ side.

4️⃣ In the guest profile, click on Send Journey.

5️⃣ Select the campaign you want to send from your list.

6️⃣ Choose and send.

  • WhatsApp as the channel
  • The appropriate language

📌 Note: Only campaigns with approved WhatsApp Message Templates will be available here.


⏳ The WhatsApp 48-Hour Rule

WhatsApp only allows proactive messaging to guests within a 48-hour window from their last message to you.

This means:

  • The guest must have initiated the conversation.
  • You can only send a WhatsApp message within 48 hours of their last interaction.
  • Outside this window, sending via Inbox will not be possible, even with a template.
  • You cannot edit the campaign message from the Inbox — it must already be created and approved under Journeys.

✋ Troubleshooting

I don’t see the campaign I want to send. Why?

Make sure the campaign is set up in Journeys, uses an approved WhatsApp template, and supports the selected language.

I can’t send the message. The button is greyed out.

Check if the guest wrote to you within the last 48 hours. If not, the window has expired and WhatsApp won’t allow proactive messaging.
