📊 Understanding Broadcast Reports in Bookboost

Introduction

Broadcast reports in Bookboost provide hoteliers with valuable insights into the performance of their guest communications across multiple channels, including WhatsApp and email. These reports help hotel marketing teams understand how guests interact with campaigns like newsletters, allowing for data-driven decision-making and optimization.

Main Concept or Feature Explanation

Broadcast reports are multi-channel analytics tools that display detailed performance metrics for guest communication campaigns. These metrics include sent messages, revenue, revenue per click, unique opens, and unique click-through rate (CTR).

With these insights, hotels can better understand how guests are engaging with their messages and adjust their marketing strategies accordingly.

Use Cases

  • 📈 Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • 🛠️ Identifying communication delivery issues (e.g., invalid phone numbers or emails).
  • 🎯 Optimizing communication strategies based on real guest engagement.

Configuration and Setup

  1. Go to the Broadcast section in Bookboost.
  1. Select the specific broadcast campaign you wish to analyze.
  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  1. Review the key metrics:
      • Total: Total number of guests targeted.
      • Sent: Number of guests successfully contacted.
      • Failed: Number of guests not contacted due to incorrect or missing contact details.
      • Replies: Number of guests who responded to the message.
      • Opt-outs: Number of guests who unsubscribed from future communications.
      • Revenue: All reservations made by targeted guests within 30 days of the campaign are included. This is calculated using gross revenue (including taxes), regardless of whether the guest clicked the message.
        • ❌ No cross-device or session-based attribution.
      • Revenue per click: Formula = Revenue / Clicks per link.
      • Unique Opens: Guests who opened the message (max. one open per guest).
      • DR Conversion: Number of form submissions triggered by the broadcast.
      • Unique CTR: Formula = (Unique Clicks / Unique Opens) × 100.
      • Unique Clicks: Guests who clicked on at least one link (max. one click per guest).
      • Clicks per Link: Total clicks each individual link received (may exceed unique clicks).

Advanced Setup (If Applicable)

  • 📅 Use the time filters (e.g., "last month") to narrow down your analysis.
  • 📊 The event-based tracking shows how metrics like opens, clicks, and unsubscriptions evolve over time:
    • 4 hours after the send
    • 8 hours after the send
    • 1 day after the send
    • 3 days after the send

Known Issues or Limitations

  1. ❌ Campaign performance may suffer due to missing or invalid contact details (email or phone number).
  1. 🚫 Bookboost ensures message delivery to the communication platform but cannot guarantee delivery to the guest if:
      • The guest has blocked SMS, WhatsApp, or email communications.
      • The guest's email domain is blocking the message (Note: Bookboost's email domain is not blacklisted as of July 2025).
  1. 💡 Revenue attribution does not rely on CRM-based actions like clicks:
      • If a guest books later without interacting with the newsletter, we still attribute revenue based on the guest being part of the campaign.
      • Returning users are not specially tracked or handled across sessions or devices.

Conclusion

Broadcast reports empower hoteliers to measure and optimize the impact of their marketing efforts. With detailed metrics across all channels, these reports help you understand guest behavior and improve communication strategies for better engagement and higher conversion.
